Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy describes the current features of Star Trek: Outposts Unknown Wiki at www.outpostsunknown.site. The site is an independent fan project and does not require an account to read its pages.

Information used by this site

Your browser stores a light or dark theme preference locally when you choose a theme. Without a saved preference, the site follows your browser’s color scheme. Theme preferences are not sent to a site database.

Hosting and content delivery providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser headers, to deliver and secure the site. This implementation does not add analytics trackers, advertising scripts, user accounts, or payment collection.

If you contact us by email, your email provider and ours process the message and sender details. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive account information.

Optional embedded video and external links

Video covers and screenshots are served with the site. YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player is loaded only when you click the play button. At that point, your browser connects to YouTube, which may process technical data under its own policies.

Links to Steam, Discord, YouTube, and official game channels lead to services with their own privacy policies. Browsing the site without playing a video does not load the YouTube player.

Your choices

You can clear this site’s local storage in your browser to remove a saved theme choice. You can browse without playing embedded videos or following external links.

For privacy questions or requests concerning information you have sent us, contact contact@outpostsunknown.site. We do not sell personal information. We use contact messages to respond to the request and maintain relevant correspondence, rather than adding senders to a marketing list.

Security and children’s privacy

No internet transmission is completely secure. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the site adds services or changes its data practices, this policy should be updated to describe them. The updated date appears on this page.
